Thank you for your interest in giving your valuable time to help families fight poverty. Volunteering is a rewarding experience for both you and those being helped. 

DESC has the Best. Volunteers. Ever. They help in almost every aspect. In fact, DESC has only one full-time employee and a handful of part-time employees. Every year, DESC volunteers collectively give more hours in volunteer time than all the DESC staff combined.

Another great way to volunteer is to host a drive or organize a collection. Churches, civic organizations, neighborhoods, families or other groups can help by hosting drives like:

• “Undie Sunday”
• Diapers and baby wipes
• Peanut butter and jelly collections
• Soup drives
• Toiletries
• Or whatever fits best
